January News
We had a very busy December when we took in 8 Persians from the RSPCA. The cats were in a poor state and sadly some were past saving – this is a heart-breaking part of our work but we ensure the cats go to sleep with kindness, dignity and love - it is the least we can do.
On a much brighter note the four Persians we could save are now all happy and secure in their loving new homes – we will bring you pictures and stories in due course.
The other great news is that two of our non-Persian girls found loving new homes for Christmas – SuSu our pretty and unusual LaPerm found a new home in Scotland and Belle our little blue shorthair is settled in her new home too – we really were pleased for this pair as they had been with us and at another rescue before for some time.
New Year Happiness for Bella
We also have one lovely New Year story – Bella our deaf chinchilla lady was going to be a permanent resident with Barbara until one of our regular owners fell in love with her and whisked her off to a life of luxury in Hertfordshire. Bella is now the Bell of the Boudoir having made ‘mummy’s’ bed her very special snuggle space.
We are delighted for Bella and she has promised to give us an update just as soon as she can after the Christmas festivities.
Events and Fund Raising
We are working hard to organise some fundraising events for later in 2012, and now that we are a registered charity we can apply for some funding from some of the animal welfare trusts. This will hopefully help us rehome even more Persians – we will give you regular updates as they happen
Thank you for buying our Calendar
Our calendar was a great success and the sales helped us raise in excess of £500 - a big thank you to everyone who purchased one from us.
We will be doing a calendar for 2013 and asking our adopters to send in their pictures for inclusion.
